Joshua Barthelemy leads Greenacres Christian to victory over FAU High

The Greenacres Christian Panthers can finally bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Tuesday. They came out on top against FAU High by a score of 87-75. Greenacres Christian's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Joshua Barthelemy continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 28 points and 13 rebounds. Barthelemy is absolutely dominating the block category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was David Mine, who scored 17 points along with nine rebounds.

When it comes to explaining why FAU High lost, one person who can't be blamed is Samuel Joseph. Despite the final result, he scored 30 points. Joseph scored a full 40% of FAU High's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaelym Lamont, who scored 19 points.

Greenacres Christian's win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-6. As for FAU High, they bumped their record down to 0-8 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Greenacres Christian won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Sports Leadership & Management at 4:30 p.m. on December 13th. Sports Leadership & Management is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak. FAU High and Sports Leadership & Management will face off at 5:00 p.m. on December 14th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Sports Leadership & Management has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last five games.
