Volleyball Recap: Cannon's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Charlotte Latin, Cannon was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Winston Salem Christian Lions. The victory was some much needed relief for the Cougars as it spelled an end to their three-match losing streak.

Cannon had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-22, 25-19, 25-14.

Their offense was headlined by Kendall Laguerre and Mia McHugh, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Reagan Pinkerton and her 14 assists. Lauren Childress and Carly Benz kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with six aces apiece.

Cannon's win bumped their record up to 6-12. As for Winston Salem Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-13.

Cannon didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Covenant Day on the 7th. Winston Salem Christian has also already played their next contest (against Forsyth Home Educators), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
