Soccer Game Preview: New Caney vs. College Park

The New Caney Eagles will head out on the road to challenge the College Park Cavaliers at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

New Caney took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They never let Cleveland get on the board and left with a 3-0 win. The score was close at the half, but the Eagles pulled away in the second half with two goals.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask College Park). Everything went their way against Cleveland on Friday as College Park made off with an 8-0 victory. The Cavaliers haven't had any issues with the Indians recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

College Park's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-8-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those five games. As for New Caney, their win bumped their record up to 6-13-3.
