Basketball Game Preview: St. James Sharks vs. Bluefield Beavers

Having just played yesterday, the St. James Sharks will jump right back in to play the Bluefield Beavers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

St. James will head into Thursday's game out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Thursday. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Alexander an easy 64-44 win.

Meanwhile, Bluefield had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell to PikeView 62-58.

St. James has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-3 record this season. As for Bluefield, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 0-1.
