Softball Recap: Elizabethtown Comes Up Short

If Elizabethtown was riding high fresh off their 15-0 takedown of Ephrata on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bears lost 10-3 to the Lampeter-Strasburg Pioneers on Wednesday. The match marked the Bears' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Elizabethtown's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Lampeter-Strasburg, they pushed their record up to 8-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elizabethtown will take on Manheim Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Barons have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.91 runs per game on average), something the Bears will no doubt try to take advantage of.
