Football Recap: Pacheco Comes Up Short Despite Evany Herrera's Big Defensive Game

After flying high against Dos Palos on Monday, Pacheco came back down to earth. The Panthers received a blow on Saturday as they fell 21-6 to the Ripon Indians.

Even if they lost, Pacheco's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Evany Herrera. Elizabeth Perkins got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Pacheco's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Pacheco wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 25-0 win against Gustine on the 23rd. As for Ripon, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 30-0 defeat against Sierra on the 23rd.
