Having just played yesterday, the Leake Academy Rebels will head out on the road to face off against the Pillow Academy Mustangs at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Leake Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.1 points per game this season.

Leake Academy heads in on the heels of a playoff matchup on Friday. They took a 61-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of Parklane Academy.

Despite the loss, Leake Academy got top-tier performance from Marleigh Myers, who made all 7 shots she took racking up 15 points and five boards. Myers is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 63% in the last three games she's played. Sarah Prince was another key player, going 5-for-10 to rack up 13 points.

Even though they lost, Leake Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in three consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Pillow Academy came up short against East Rankin Academy on Friday and fell 67-56. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 29th, while the Patriots are ranked second).

Pillow Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 21-8. As for Leake Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 32-4.

Leake Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Pillow Academy when the teams last played last Friday, winning 48-38. Does Leake Academy have another victory up their sleeve, or will Pillow Academy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
