Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Violet Jacoby and Alicen Sovocool Lead Cotopaxi to Victory

There's no place like home for Cotopaxi, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Centennial Rams on Saturday. The victory continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Rams: they've now won seven in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 23-25, 25-13, 25-20.

Cotopaxi was led to victory by Alicen Sovocool and Violet Jacoby. Sovocool had 21 digs, while Jacoby had 31 digs and six aces. Jacoby has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last four times she's played.

They weren't the only good servers: Cotopaxi was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 25 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Cotopaxi's record now sits at 7-8. As for Centennial, they dropped their record down to 4-10 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.
