Basketball Recap: Century Piles Up the Points Against St. Mary's Academy

While Century didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past the St. Mary's Academy Blues 72-29 on Tuesday. That's two games straight that the Jaguars have won by exactly 43 points.

Century's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-0. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.7 points per game. As for St. Mary's Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Century will take on South Eugene in a tournament on Friday. Century knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully South Eugene likes a good challenge. As for St. Mary's Academy, they will head out to square off against Churchill at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
