            Softball Recap: Northwest Rankin Cougars vs. West Lauderdale Knights        
        
		
        
        
            Northwest Rankin's found some homefield redemption this week after a  overtime loss to Sumrall on Tuesday. The Cougars came out on top against the West Lauderdale Knights by a score of  7-3. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive  victory against them.

 Grace Wallis was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  going a perfect 4-for-4 with four  RBI and two  doubles. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in March.
 In other batting news,  Brooke Smith was  excellent,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Carlee Tubbs, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-2.
 Northwest Rankin  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters  in nine consecutive  matches.
Northwest Rankin's win bumped their record up to 24-4. As for West Lauderdale, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-11.
As of now, neither Northwest Rankin nor the Knights have any future games scheduled.
