Harmony Science Academy suffers sixth straight loss at home

Harmony Science Academy's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 12th straight loss. They were outmatched by Mountain View at home and fell 61-17. Harmony Science Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-11.

It was another big night for Jisell Huizar, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and four steals for Mountain View. The matchup was Huizar's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mia Ledesma, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

Harmony Science Academy's loss was their sixth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-16. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.5 points per game. As for Mountain View, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-6.

Harmony Science Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Fabens at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Fabens has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Mountain View will be home for the holidays to greet Irvin at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Irvin will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1304th, while Mountain View is ranked 635th).
