Marvin Ridge faced Metrolina Christian Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Mavericks blew past the Warriors 3-0. This was a revenge game for the Mavericks: when they faced off against the Warriors back in April, they had to take a 2-1 defeat.

While Marvin Ridge won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-20, 25-20.

The victory made it two in a row for Marvin Ridge and bumps their season record up to 12-6. As for Metrolina Christian Academy, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 12-5 record.
