Softball Recap: Gibraltar Takes a Loss

Gibraltar was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 14th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Algoma Wolves, falling 14-1. The game marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Gibraltar saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Courtney Foy, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Gibraltar's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Algoma, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gibraltar will welcome Hilbert at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wolves have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.75 runs per game on average), something the Vikings will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Algoma, they will host Crivitz at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
