Soccer Game Preview: Keenan vs. Swansea

The Keenan Raiders will face off against the Swansea Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keenan has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with four straight losses, while Swansea will come in with four straight victories.

Keenan played against Calhoun County on Monday and lost via forfeit.

Swansea's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Newberry by a score of 2-0. The Tigers' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three contests.

Juel Rivers was the driving force of Swansea's attack as he scored both of Swansea's goals, bringing his season total up to six goals.

Swansea pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three games. As for Keenan, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Keenan might still be hurting after the 15-0 loss they got from Swansea in their previous matchup back in March of 2020. Can Keenan avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
