After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Jay, Southwest was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 75-40 victory over the Southside Cardinals. The Dragons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Tremayne Martin continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last seven games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Aj Franco, who went 7 for 12 on his way to 17 points.

Southwest smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in three consecutive games.

Southwest pushed their record up to 17-10 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.8 points per game. As for Southside, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-17.

When Southwest and Southside next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Southwest will square off against South San Antonio and their six-game winning streak at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Southwest is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.6 points per game this season. Similarly, Southside will try to stop Jay's nine-game winning streak when the meet at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
