Softball Game Preview: Grand View Christian Thunder vs. Roland-Story Norsemen

Grand View Christian has won four straight games at home, while Roland-Story has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Wednesday. The Thunder will host the Norsemen at 7:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Grand View Christian lost a heartbreaker the last time they played West Marshall, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's match. The Thunder were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Trojans on Tuesday. Grand View Christian's win was all the more impressive since the Trojans were averaging only 3.42 runs allowed on the season.

While Roland-Story didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-24), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. Everything went their way against Nevada on Tuesday as they made off with a 14-1 victory. The Norsemen's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Grand View Christian is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Roland-Story, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
