Baseball Game Preview: Arrupe Jesuit Generals vs. Fort Lupton Bluedevils

The Arrupe Jesuit Generals will face off against the Fort Lupton Bluedevils at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Arrupe Jesuit is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.

Arrupe Jesuit fell victim to SkyView Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 14-0 to the Hawks.

Meanwhile, Fort Lupton came up short against Estes Park on Tuesday and fell 8-3. The Bluedevils have struggled against the Bobcats recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Javier Ortiz made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Andrew Dreiling also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Arrupe Jesuit's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Fort Lupton, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Arrupe Jesuit has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Fort Lupton struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
