Volleyball Recap: Makenna Gregory Key Part of Team Effort in Eagles Win

Argyle proved they can win big on Friday (they won by three) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Wylie East Raiders 3-2. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Argyle's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Makenna Gregory led the charge by getting 16 digs and two aces. The dominant performance also gave Gregory a new career-high in assists (21). Karsyn Rogers was another key player, getting 21 assists and 11 digs.

Argyle's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Wylie East, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Argyle has already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Frisco on the 16th. As for Wylie East, they will be playing in front of their home fans against North Garland at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup will give Wylie East their first taste of in-conference action this season.
