Notre Dame came tearing into Wednesday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the St. Edmund Fighting Blue Jays by a score of 44-31. While the Pioneers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Notre Dame's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for St. Edmund, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season.

Notre Dame has already played their next contest, a 45-35 loss against Vermilion Catholic on the 17th. As for St. Edmund, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 43-40 defeat against St. Joseph's - Plaucheville on the 17th.
