Basketball Recap: Anderson County Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Anderson County can now relate to. They fell 60-53 to the Burlington Wildcats on Wednesday. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost four in a row.

When it comes to explaining why Anderson County lost, don't look at Noah Porter. Despite the final result, he went 8-for-14 on his way to 28 points and seven boards. Porter's big performance that evening made it 18 games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Brylan Sommer was another key player, putting up ten points.

Anderson County's defeat dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Burlington, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season.

As of now, neither Anderson County nor Burlington have any future games scheduled.
