Baseball Recap: West Carroll Takes a Loss

West Carroll lost against Newman Central Catholic back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. West Carroll lost 20-5 to Newman Central Catholic. The Thunder have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jacen Anderson was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-2. Winter Harrington was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

West Carroll now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Newman Central Catholic, they pushed their record up to 4-1-1 with the victory, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, West Carroll will be playing at home against Earlville at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. West Carroll is facing Earlville at the right time seeing as Earlville is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Newman Central Catholic, they will venture away from home to challenge Morrison at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
