Eudora was the 2-0 winner over Wellsville when they last played one another last Saturday, but their luck changed this time around. The Cardinals fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 2-1 on Thursday. The Cardinals' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

When it comes to explaining why Eudora lost, don't look at Bailey Hammerschmidt. Despite the final result, she had 12 digs and four aces. Hammerschmidt is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Eudora's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Wellsville, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-7.

Eudora didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Louisburg on the 23rd. As for Wellsville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against West Franklin on the 18th.
