Baseball Recap: Pickering Comes Up Short

Pickering was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 22-7 to the Hornbeck Hornets. That's two games in a row now that the Red Devils have lost by exactly 15 runs.

Pickering's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Hornbeck, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Coming up, Pickering will head out on the road to square off against Anacoco at 5:00 p.m. on March 11th. Pickering has given up an average of 19.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. Hornbeck has already played their next matchup (against Singer), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
