After a string of four wins, Kingdom Christian's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They lost 3-0 to Spring Valley Academy. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Spring Valley Academy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.
Kingdom Christian took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-16, 25-19.
Evie Oglesby paced Kingdom Christian's offense, picking up seven kills. Oglesby got some help from Olivia Helstad and her eight assists. Ellie Arnold controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Kingdom Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Spring Valley Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season.
