Assumption faced Pleasant Valley in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Knights fell 3-1 to the Spartans. The Knights' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

The final score came out to 25-22, 25-14, 23-25, 25-11.

Addi Allaman was the offensive standout of the match as she had 11 digs and two assists. That's the most digs she has posted over her last ten matchups.

Assumption's defeat dropped their record down to 19-7. As for Pleasant Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-5 record this season.
