Basketball Recap: Brooke Senators vs. Neighborhood House Charter Legends
Brooke had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 59-50 victory over the Neighborhood House Charter Legends on Friday. The win was some much needed relief for the Senators as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Several Legends players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jayden Docanto, who posted 14 points and six steals. Elijah Fletcher was another key player, putting up eight points along with six assists and three steals.
Neighborhood House Charter's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brooke will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Tech Boston Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Neighborhood House Charter, they will head out to take on Boston Latin at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
