Basketball Recap: Bladensburg Comes Up Short

Bladensburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by the Parkdale Panthers and fell 71-7. The Mustangs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-0.

Zenai Ferebee continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Parkdale, almost dropping a double-double with 23 points and nine steals. Those nine steals gave Ferebee a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Youn, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and ten boards.

Bladensburg's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Parkdale, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bladensburg will host DuVal at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Parkdale, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Panthers face off against the Jaguars at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Flowers will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Parkdale surely won't give up without a fight.
