Basketball Recap: Morgan Comes Up Short

Morgan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 69-18 loss at the hands of the Covington Owls. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-10.

Morgan's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Covington, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

When Morgan and Covington next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Morgan will face off against Bynum and their three-game winning streak at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Covington will try to stop Avalon's ten-game winning streak when the meet at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
