Softball Game Preview: Penns Grove Red Devils vs. Overbrook Rams

Penns Grove hasn't had much luck against Overbrook recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Red Devils are taking a road trip to face off against the Rams at 4:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Penns Grove fell victim to Pennsville Memorial and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 21-0 to the Eagles.

Meanwhile, Overbrook scored first but ultimately less than Gloucester County Tech in their matchup on Tuesday. They came up short against Gloucester County Tech, falling 13-3.

Gianna Simon made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and one double. She is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Penns Grove's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Overbrook, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.

Penns Grove suffered a grim 23-0 defeat to Overbrook when the teams last played two weeks ago. Can the Red Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
