Basketball Recap: Monticello Comes Up Short

Monticello was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost to the Pecatonica Vikings on the road by a 50-32 margin. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, with their most recent loss being a 58-47 defeat last Thursday.

Monticello's loss dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Pecatonica, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-10.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Pecatonica beat Monticello by a score of 50-32 on Tuesday.
