Volleyball Recap: Casey Angellotti Key Part of Team Effort in Eagles Win

Bald Eagle Area not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 2nd (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on the Clearfield Bison with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Bison recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Bald Eagle Area didn't let Clearfield take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-23, 27-25.

Bald Eagle Area's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Casey Angellotti led the charge by getting 34 assists and ten digs. That's the most assists Angellotti has posted over her last ten matchups. Nora Eppley was another key player, getting 19 digs and five assists.

Bald Eagle Area's victory bumped their record up to 20-5-2. As for Clearfield, the loss snapped their winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 10-6 record.
