Basketball Recap: Roanoke Rapids Has No Trouble Against Bunn

Roanoke Rapids won the last time they faced Bunn and things went their way on Friday too. The Roanoke Rapids Yellowjackets took down the Bunn Wildcats 57-40. That looming 57-40 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Yellowjackets yet this season.

Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Josiah Rice, who posted 12 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Corey Mann, who scored eight points.

The win made it two in a row for Roanoke Rapids and bumps their season record up to 8-5. As for Bunn, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Nash Central the next time they take the court. Bunn will head out to face Nash Central at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, while Roanoke Rapids will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
