Football Game Recap: Northeast vs. Van Horn

After a disappointing 6 points in the match before, Van Horn made sure to put some points up on the board against Northeast on Friday. Van Horn steamrollered Northeast 70-6. The high-flying offensive effort was a definite turnaround from Van Horn's flat performance the match before.

The contest started off well for Van Horn, whose offense put up 49 first-half points. Northeast put up 6, so the score was 49-6 at the half. The Van Horn defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the game. The matchup pushed Northeast down to 1-4 and pulled Van Horn up to the reverse at 4-1.

Van Horn will look to defend their home turf next week against Winnetonka at 7:00 PM. Van Horn will be strutting in after a victory while Winnetonka will be stumbling in from a loss. As for Northeast, they will face off against Sumner Academy.
