Softball Recap: Benton Central Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Benton Central can now relate to. They lost 13-1 to the Rossville Hornets on Tuesday. The Bison have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Benton Central saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Izzy Adams, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Benton Central's loss dropped their record down to 7-21. As for Rossville, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 20-5.

Benton Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rossville, they will square off against Western Boone at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Hornets 3, the Stars 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
