Basketball Game Preview: Northridge Knights vs. Roy Royals

The Northridge Knights are taking a road trip to challenge the Roy Royals at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Northridge took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They walked away with a 58-45 win over Clearfield.

Meanwhile, Roy posted their closest victory since February 16, 2024 on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 57-54 win over Viewmont. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Royals as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Northridge better keep an eye on Colby Frokjer. He was instrumental in Roy's win, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 12 rebounds. Those 23 points gave Frokjer a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyrece Holbrook, who posted ten points.

Northridge's win bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Roy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-13.

Northridge strolled past Roy in their previous meeting on January 3rd by a score of 69-55. The rematch might be a little tougher for Northridge since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
