Baseball Recap: Putnam City West Takes a Loss

Putnam City West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 14-7 to the Westmoore Jaguars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jaguars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-2 last Monday.

Cadence Smith made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Putnam City West's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Westmoore, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-5.

Looking ahead, Putnam City West will take on Southmoore at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Westmoore, they are taking a road trip to face off against Union at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
