Baseball Recap: Campbell County Comes Up Short

Campbell County fell victim to West and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Rebels, falling 16-0. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Rebels recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Campbell County's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for West, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Campbell County will square off against Oneida at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Indians have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.83 runs per game on average), something the Cougars will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for West, they will challenge Bearden at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
