Basketball Game Preview: Torrington Trailblazers vs. Rawlins Outlaws

The Torrington Trailblazers will head out on the road to face off against the Rawlins Outlaws at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Torrington will be strutting in after a win while Rawlins will be coming in after a defeat.

Torrington is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Burns 77-55 on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Rawlins was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 51-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wheatland. The game was a 24-24 toss-up at halftime, but the Outlaws couldn't quite close it out.

Despite the defeat, Rawlins saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Chris Gonzalez on his way to 14 points. Talan Lascano was another key player, putting up six points.

Torrington's victory bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Rawlins, their loss dropped their record down to 5-14.

Torrington beat Rawlins 63-54 in their previous matchup back in January. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Gonzalez, who posted 24 points and five assists.
