Recap: Cochrane-Fountain City Pirates vs. Sparta Spartans
The Cochrane-Fountain City Pirates put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Sparta by a score of 44-33. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Cochrane-Fountain City also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Sparta's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Lily Seifert, who scored 12 points along with 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Tiana Leis, who scored 8 points along with 7 rebounds.
Cochrane-Fountain City's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Sparta, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cochrane-Fountain City will face off against Alma Center Lincoln at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Sparta, they will head out on the road to face off against Westfield Area at 7:00 p.m. on November 30th.
