Basketball Recap: Ansley/Litchfield Makes It 14 in a Row at Home

Ansley/Litchfield had won 13 straight home games dating back to last season and Luke Bailey did his part to make it 14 on Friday. The Ansley/Litchfield Spartans put the hurt on the Heartland Lutheran Red Hornets with a sharp 75-49 victory thanks in part to Bailey, who dropped a double-double on 34 points and 11 assists. That makes it nine consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Ansley/Litchfield's points.

Despite the loss, Heartland Lutheran still got an impressive performance from Luke Olson, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Vance Smith, who posted ten points.

Ansley/Litchfield now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Heartland Lutheran, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Ansley/Litchfield will host Amherst at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Heartland Lutheran, they will venture away from home to face off against Dorchester at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
