After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last four contests, Mynderse Academy finally came back down to earth on Monday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Newark Reds. The Blue Devils' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Mynderse Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hannah O'Brien, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles.

Mynderse Academy's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 6-4. As for Newark, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-6.
