Hazard proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by six) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the North Laurel Jaguars, sneaking past 4-3. The win was familiar territory for the Bulldogs / Lady Bulldogs, who have now won nine contests in a row.

Tucker Napier made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double.

In other pitching news, Cayden Williams looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

Hazard's record now sits at 17-1. As for North Laurel, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9.

Looking ahead, Hazard will head out on the road to square off against Johnson Central at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for North Laurel, they will host Madison Southern at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The last three games the Eagles have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
