Football Game Preview: TEACH Tech Charter Rams vs. Valley Oaks CES Vanguards

The TEACH Tech Charter Rams will challenge the Valley Oaks CES Vanguards at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

TEACH Tech Charter's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 42-0 victory over South LA College Prep. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rams.

TEACH Tech Charter found their leader in sophomore Trayvion Kendrick, who rushed for 107 yards and a pair of scores on only five carries, and also threw for 112 yards and one TD on perfect 7-for-7 passing. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 62 yards. Another player making a difference was Damauri Coleman, who gained 114 total yards and two touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Valley Oaks CES was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 52-46 to East Valley. The loss continues a trend for the Vanguards in their meetings with the Falcons: they've now lost four in a row.

Valley Oaks CES' defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for TEACH Tech Charter, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
