Football Recap: Kentlake Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Thursday just wasn't the day for Kentlake's offense. They took a blow against the Decatur Golden Gators on Thursday, falling 53-0. The loss continues a trend for the Falcons in their meetings with the Golden Gators: they've now lost four in a row.

Despite the defeat, Kentlake saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Samuel Shaffer threw for 181 yards and three touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes.

Kentlake's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Decatur, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Kentlake is set to face off against their familiar foe Federal Way at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Decatur will take on rival White River at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th.
