Softball Recap: Hempfield Snags Seventh Victory in Last Eight Games

With a playoff win on the line, Hempfield rose to the challenge on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Seneca Valley Raiders a 1-0 shutout.

Hempfield has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Seneca Valley, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 20-4.

Hempfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Seneca Valley, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 1-0 defeat against Hempfield Area on the 29th.
