Softball Recap: Franklin Wins Going Away Against Tournament Opponent

Franklin never let their opponents score on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 17-0 margin over Tournament Opponent. That looming 17-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Cougars yet this season.

Layla Heredia and Sophia Lucero did most of the damage at the plate: Heredia scored two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances, while Lucero scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave Lucero a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kimberly Rivas, who scored three runs and stole two bases.
