Basketball Game Preview: Hilton Head Prep Dolphins vs. St. Andrew's Lions

Hilton Head Prep has gone 8-2 against St. Andrew recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The two teams will face off at 3:15 p.m. without much rest having both just played. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Hilton Head Prep took a loss when they played away from home back in December of 2024, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 57-43 victory over Patrick Henry Academy.

Hilton Head Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brooke Heins led the charge by dropping a double-double on 19 points and ten steals. The dominant performance gave Heins a new career-high in steals. Courtney Campbell was another key player, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 12 assists.

Meanwhile, St. Andrew's had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They managed a 46-41 win over Westminster Schools of Augusta on Friday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Lions' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 428th, while the Wildcats are ranked 124th).

Hilton Head Prep is also on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.0 points per game. As for St. Andrew's, their win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-10.
