Basketball Recap: Tates Creek Comes Up Short

Tates Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 61-53 to the Lexington Catholic Knights. While losing is never fun, the Commodores can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 109th in Kentucky, while the Knights are ranked 31st in Kentucky).

Tates Creek's loss dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Lexington Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 21-9 record this season.

Tates Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lexington Catholic, they will take on Lexington Christian at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Lexington Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Lexington Catholic likes a good challenge.
