Football Recap: Miles Morning's Big Game Can't Quite Lead San Marino over South Pasadena

After flying high against Temple City last Friday, San Marino came back down to earth. The Titans took a 30-22 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Pasadena Tigers on Friday. The Titans were right on the edge of victory: they outscored the Tigers in the fourth quarter 15-7.

Several Titans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Miles Morning, who rushed for 54 yards and one TD on only five carries, and also caught one touchdown.

Trey Freking continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for South Pasadena, rushing for 250 yards and three scores while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. The Tigers are 5-1 when Freking posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 0-3 otherwise.

San Marino's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for South Pasadena, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-4.

San Marino didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 35-7 loss against Monrovia on the 24th. As for South Pasadena, they have also already played their next matchup, a 48-6 victory against Temple City on the 24th.
