Baseball Recap: Lyman Comes Up Short

Lyman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They fell 10-5 to the Lake Howell Silverhawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Silverhawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-3 on Tuesday.

Lyman saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Farrington, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double. That triple marked the first that Farrington has hit this season. Dyson Beamon was another, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Lyman's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Lake Howell, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-6.

Lyman wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 1-0 win against Dr. Phillips on the 17th. As for Lake Howell, they have also already played their next game, a 7-5 defeat against Pembroke Pines Charter on the 17th.
